How does indi-pendant Personal Alarm work?
indi-pendant personal pendant alarms use mobile phone technology combined with GPS tracking.
Unlike a normal mobile phone, we are not tied to one service provider our network connects to the strongest available mobile phone signal when the pendant is activated.
When the pendant is activated a call is initiated to the first emergency contact, if there is no answer the second emergency contact is called, then finally the third. Calls are then started again until answered.
In the meantime the app registers that the pendant has been activated, this sends an alert to all emergency contacts with the app installed. They can see the location of the activation and can direct emergency services or assistance to that location.

How do you set up an indi-pendant Personal Alarm?
indi-pendant personal pendant alarms work straight out of the box. When you purchase your pendant you set up your emergency contacts with your order.
You can change your emergency contacts online at any time. Then you just need to make sure you can charge your pendant.
How does an indi-pendant Personal Alarm app work?
The indi-pendant alarm app is available in both the Google Store & Apple Store.
It is free to download. When you download the app you have to provide us with your mobile phone number, our system checks your number against our emergency contacts database & allocates your number as an emergency contact to the correct mobile Inde-pendant alarm pendant.
What is Geofencing?
Using coordinates drawn on a map you create a fence around the desired area, it can be as large or small as you like.
How do you set up geofencing in the indi-pendant Personal Alarm app?

How does indi-pendant Personal Alarm work with a phone line?
We don’t need a telephone landline like conventional personal alarms, because we use mobile phone technology our alarms will work anywhere, there is a mobile phone signal.
We are not tied to one mobile network, our pendants connect to the strongest available mobile phone signal.
Will indi-pendant Personal Alarm work after the digital change over planned in 2023?
We won’t be affected by the change over to digital telephony.
There will be improvements in mobile phone connectivity, this should mean over time our systems could cost less.
How does indi-pendant Personal Alarm detect falls?
Currently, we do not detect falls.
Although our next hardware development will mean we should be able to accurately alert when a fall is detected.
Like all other pendant alarms, the button on the pendant must be pressed to summon help.
How often does indi-pendant Personal Alarm Pendant need charging?
We have tested the indi-pendant pendant alarms, from fully charged we have pendants that have still operated XX days later.
Battery life will depend on how often the pendant is charged. We recommend charging the pendant on a daily basis.
